Creativity & Imagination in Jungian Psychoanalysis online talk
The Psychology of Carl Jung Seed Talks Summit, Sunday February 23rd
If you’re a regular reader of Depth Writing With Dr Rachel, you’ll probably know it’s a practice that evolved out of my PhD in applying Jungian psychoanalysis to creative writing.
So I’m honoured that I’ve been invited by the UK-based Seed Talks to give a talk on ‘Creativity & Imagination in Jungian Psychoanalysis’ as part of a one-day online summit on Sunday February 23rd.
This day will feature expert speakers and is designed for those curious about how Jung’s ideas can provide practical insights into their lives. Whether you’re new to Jung’s work or looking to deepen your understanding, this summit offers a comprehensive and engaging exploration of his theories and their uses today.
My talk on Creativity & Imagination in Jungian Psychoanalysis will explore the key role of creativity and imagination in individual and collective growth from the Jungian perspective that we are all born with the capacity to imagine and create. It will look at how creativity is not so much about having a gift as a means to discover our gifts. It will also dispel the myth that imagination is about making things up and explore how imagination is, in fact, our hidden ‘superpower’ and bridge to the unconscious that can deepen our self-awareness and expand our sense of possibility.
